  • 0.25 tsp salt
  • 0.5 cup creamy peanut butter or almond butter
  • 0.333 cup maple syrup or honey

Topping

  • 0.75 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  • Stir the dry ingredients until evenly combined.
  • Add peanut butter or almond butter, maple syrup or honey, vanilla extract, and milk.
  • Stir until a thick brownie-like dough forms, adding more milk one tablespoon at a time if the mixture is too dry.
  • Press the dough firmly and evenly into the lined pan.
  • Melt chocolate chips with coconut oil in short microwave bursts, stirring until smooth.
  • Spread the melted chocolate evenly over the protein bar base.
  • Sprinkle mini rainbow candy pieces over the chocolate topping.
  • Chill for at least 1 hour, or until firm.
  • Lift the bars from the pan, slice into 12 bars, and store in the refrigerator.

Notes

Protein powders vary, so adjust the milk as needed. The mixture should feel like thick brownie dough and press together without crumbling.
